Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee and raised in Thompson's Station, Tennessee to Tish Cyrus & Billy Ray Cyrus. She is the youngest of five siblings. She has two sisters and brothers younger than her. Her parents chose her name because they hoped that she would attain the heights of success. Miley was her name in childhood. Smiley because of her cheerful nature. Her father was an elected Democratic politician whose name was Ron Cyrus. Cyrus attended Heritage Elementary School, Tennessee. Cyrus together with her parents, relocated to Toronto Canada around 2001, at the age of eight. The father of Cyrus, Billy Ray played a character on the TV series Doc. At this point that Cyrus realized she was interested in learning to be an actor as well. Her father was the lead in Doc (2001). In addition, Cyrus played part in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). The year 2005 saw Cyrus got the role of the main character in The Disney show Hannah Montana (2006), which follows a teenager who lives two lives as pop-star. The father of her character was back along with her. The performance was huge and hit records as well as sell-out shows and merchandise deals followed. Cyrus was a teen-sized star. Following the popularity that was Hannah Montana 2006, Cyrus changed role. She was Ronnie Miller and Lola alongside Demi Moore in The Last Song 2010 and LOL 2012.
